GENERAL PURPOSE Maintain the cleanliness of water resort/hotel grounds to maximize customer's satisfaction and respond to guest requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Clean and maintain all restrooms and locker rooms to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain floor cleanliness in all public areas to present a clean environment. Maintain the housekeeping and storage areas through sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, etc, to ensure a high level of sanitation. Presents oneself professionally and demonstrates clear communication. Creates a rewarding experience for all guests. Report all safety hazards and items requiring repair (frayed electrical cord, broken on/off switches, etc) noted during course of shift to the water resort management. Empty all inside/outside trash receptacles throughout the water resort/hotel to ensure the water resort/hotel is free from debris. Check, lock, and secure all storage areas. Performs other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Clean (dust, empty trash receptacles, vacuum, etc) in offices as needed. Hours: 8 hours per shift; scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES - None Education/Formal Training: No formal education required. Experience: No previous working knowledge required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge Must speak, read and understand English.
Skills Moderate hearing required to answer guest calls and inquiries. Moderate vision required to search through storeroom; rarely takes same route. Moderate speech communication skills required for telephone and one-on-one communication with the guest. Minimal comprehension and literacy required - little reading/writing - maintain daily log.
Physical Abilities Lifting - up to 50 lbs of supplies off shelves, garbage from receptacles. Pushing - hand carts all on rollers. Pulling - removing trash from receptacles. Carrying - up to 50 lbs for guest delivery. Bending/kneeling - frequent bending to pick up supplies from ground or lower shelves. Kneeling - frequent kneeling when organizing, picking up supplies, or cleaning lower shelves. Mobility - continuous movement throughout water resort/hotel. Continuous standing - 95% of shift. Climbing stairs of approximately 20 steps 10% of 8 hours. Climbing ladders of approximately 3 feet 1% of 8 hours.
Material/Equipment Used Chemicals/Agents used: Exposed to cleaning solutions and pool chemicals. Operate trash compactor, telephone, and walkie-talkie.
