Global Asset Allocation acts as the investment advisor to Fidelity's managed account family, totaling $330 billion as of Sept 30, 2011. Utilizing mutual funds and separate accounts from both Fidelity and external investment managers, Global Asset Allocation sets targeted asset mixes between stocks, bonds and cash to meet client specific needs.
The Position
Global Asset Allocation is looking to hire a Senior Vice President of Investment Product to lead efforts to drive product development, positioning and overall strategy to retain and grow assets. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader who has a deep understanding of the competitive landscape in the retail and institutional markets. Partnering with stakeholders across FMRCo and Fidelity's distribution channels, this role will be tasked with developing new product offerings, coordinating and rationalizing existing offerings, increasing the marketability of our existing product offerings and determining what new channels need to be explored. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for leading a high performing team of product professionals.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Global Asset Allocation, as well as the Executive Vice President of Investment Business Development, this individual will be responsible for end to end product strategy across managed accounts, including retail, intermediary, and select institutional strategies. This person will also be responsible for building relationships with investment professionals and senior leaders in the channels to manage product development, positioning, marketing and communications. * Fifteen to twenty years experience of financial services experience, including roles as a senior product executive or broad based general manager in the investment management industry * Demonstrated expertise working with firm positioning, product development, product strategy and external communication strategy * Experience with multiple investment products and asset classes * A well-regarded leader with an ability to represent Fidelity in the institutional and retail marketplace * Strong relationship skills * Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills * Demonstrated experience building and leading high performing teams * This individual will be a strategic thinker and a collaborative implementer * Strong education credentials; MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
