Description: Responsibilities
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT
Persons in this position will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager. The assistant will participate in speaking with parents to recruit subjects, helping to distribute questionnaires at schools with a research assistant, observing clinic visits, data entry of questionnaire results into the database management system, and keeping paperwork organized and orderly. Effective interpersonal communication skills are necessary, as well as attention to detail, flexible scheduling, a desire to learn about research projects, personal responsibility, and an upbeat friendly demeanor. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Speaking with parents to recruit subjects
2. Helping to distribute questionnaires at schools with a research assistant
3. Observing clinic visits
4. Data entry of questionnaire results into the database management system
5. Keeping paperwork organized and orderly

QUALIFICATIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS
Will require some travel within the Boston city area for school visits- does not require a personal car. Home office will be in the Longwood Medical area and hospital visits will be held at Childrens Hospital Boston also in the Longwood medical area. Ability to work flexible hours; some hours may be in the late afternoon to early evening.
