Sr. Product Manager - Men's Apparel (Sports Marketing/Sales)Our company is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Men's Apparel to be responsible for the ownership, vision and overall performance of the category. As the owner of the category's apparel strategy, goals and results, the Senior Product Manager will work cross-functionally to coordinate and drive commercialization. He/she will manage the team to ensure a full effective product creation process from design creation to initial productions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Strategy Develop initiatives that drive growth in line with Corporate and Business Unit strategies Execute the product line / category life cycle, from concept determination, through sales and distribution Ensure a balanced, effective product assortment that meets or exceeds revenue and margin targets Lead and manage cross-functional product line process Lead, manage, and include all appropriate functions in the range planning process inclusive of model selection, silhouette offer, color, and flow plan, etc Lead, manage, and include all appropriate functions in the range planning process inclusive of model selection, silhouette offer, color, and flow plan, etc Manage the life cycle of all products within the category Develop compelling, marketable category concepts, stories, and global vision Lead / communicate seasonal product briefing process
Market Strategy Lead, manage, and include all appropriate functions in the range planning process inclusive of model selection, silhouette offer, color, and flow plan, etc Develop GTM strategies that encompass product, distribution, marketing, and operations Ensure correct brand positioning of product line consistent with brand DNA Define and optimize market introduction timelines and approaches for different channels of distribution Work with regional hubs, GTM team, and key markets to ensure specific segmentation and local execution planning and support Lead / execute merchandising plans and strategies that support seasonal stories and key initiatives Lead the briefing and implementation of all relevant seasonal and strategic concepts, including distribution by channel, product and color introductions / merchandising assortments Prepare and communicate marketing strategy
Industry, Market, and Consumer Acumen Provide insight and analysis of consumer and marketing trends, competition, retail landscape, and cultural drivers affecting business dynamics. Translate market and research analysis to tangible product concepts Leverage your and others' consumer and competitive insights, market research, and market / industry trends to influence category concepts and products Perform pricing and competitive analysis by customer channel and recommend strategies to improve market position and quality / value, and / or reduce costs
Financial Aptitude Ensure business units achieve targeted financial results, revenue, and margin Ensure profitability of all strategy inline products through the feasibility and economic viability of concepts and designs Ensure products / product lines meet market requirements while meeting budget, and targeted Go-In-Margin, revenue, quality / pricing, and timelines Analyze and prepare global category business performance reports
Strategic Acting Partner with cross-functional leaders to design, streamline, and optimize processes and workflows to ensure quality of entire commercialization process
Result Orientation Drive accountability across the team, ensuring timely completion of all tasks within the seasonal development calendar, successful conclusion of time-sensitive special projects, and continually identifying ways to improve the process
Manage Business (Processes and Projects) Communicate updates, status quo of relevant projects, and business results to relevant team / project members, business partners, and others in a timely and appropriate manner EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree with 8+ years related product management experience. Strong verbal/written communications skills and presentation skills are critical. Knowledge of product development process and textiles is essential. International experience is desirable. Experience managing a small team is preferable. A proficient level of computer skills is required including MS Office Excellent analytical skills Must be self-motivated and able to process day to day work and job activities with limited direct management. Must have the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously. Must be detailed oriented with excellent follow through skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be goal driven and results oriented
