Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Sr Principal Network Engineer will play a key role on a large Air Force contract designing, testing, accrediting, and fielding secure enterprise data transport and VPN networks for military/government customers.
Job Duties: * Provide technical expertise to project teams in the Transport and Infrastructure group * Support customer requirements to collect, analyze, assess, and perform all aspects of network design and implementation activities as applied to business functionalities of customer LAN/WAN/Enterprise networked environments to include; Authentication systems and platforms, i.e.; Active Directory, Cisco ACS, LDAP; Wide Area Transport technologies and VPNs; DNS Security; Information Assurance Technologies and Boundary Protection Mechanisms; Data Storage Technologies, and Enterprise Management Systems. * Develop deliverables such as: detailed network diagrams, detailed analytical documents, reports, briefings and other necessary materials in order to meet specific project requirements.
Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a related field OR the equivalent combination of work experience, technical training and industry certifications.
10-15 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design.
Network & Security Certifications (CISSP, SNIA, CCNP, CCSP, CCIE) preferred Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in network architecture including demonstrated experience in designing, developing, configuring and implementing enterprise level networks.
* 5 years Enterprise Network Engineering in an MPLS/multi-VRF/Multiple COI MAN/WAN Networking Environment with multiple security zones.
* Experience in Network Enterprise design, engineering and analysis of configurations from Juniper, Symantec, Cisco, Foundry, Secure Computing, Extreme Networks, ISS, UNIX, LINUX, Microsoft, EMC, and Network Appliance.
* Demonstrated Solutions Engineering/Architect experience. Expert knowledge dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP).
*Hands on engineering experience with 6500, 7200, and 7600 Cisco Router series.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel may be require approximately 10-15% of the time
