Location(s) US - Massachusetts - Franklin Title Senior Technical Courseware Developer/Trainer Requisition ID 78908BR Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY This information technology professional will develop and deliver training and assessments for EMC Global Services, including Pre Sales, Consulting, Residency and Managed Services. Courses in the curriculum will include both classroom training and eLearning. Focused in on the entire EMC portfolio and technology (storage platforms, storage networking, business continuity, backup/recovery, archive, virtualization and/or application integration) this professional will work with both corporate and field stakeholders to ensure that courses, assessments and certification exams are technically accurate and relevant to the current field environment. In addition to technology/product competence and training capabilities, this individual will need to be self-motivated and work effectively in cross-functional, dynamic project environments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work cross-functionally to assess training requirements and design module or course level objectives. Work both independently and in project teams to build and/or update technical training courses and curriculum for EMC Global Services (field), their partners and customers. Set-up, configure and maintain lab configurations for hands on technical training, including developing and documenting lab exercises. Deliver classroom and virtual classroom technical training and facilitate hands on lab activities. Maintain expertise in information storage and management technology through specialized or new product training, on the job experience and field-based assignments. Proficiency in operating systems, networking and storage technology. Expertise in one or more EMC hardware/software specialties. Technology implementation or administration skills. Training design, development and delivery skills. Ability to work on multiple development projects with aggressive deadlines while balancing training delivery schedule/workload. Self motivated with ability to work and learn independently as well as coach/mentor more junior team members. Required Skills Technical course development and delivery experience – storage experience highly preferred EMC Information Storage Associate (EMCISA) certification is desired ITIL Certified is desired Consulting or Pre Sales experience is desired Security background is a plus EMC Proven Professional Certification desired. Willingness to travel 25% a must.
