Location(s) US - Massachusetts - Hopkinton Title Senior Resource Manager Requisition ID 83683BR Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY In a cost effective and efficient manner, assigns resources for highly critical customer engagement projects that span countries and/or geographies. Regularly interacts with customer facing Management resources. Handles resource requests for complex escalations.
Identifies appropriate partners options and recommends selection to management. Determines parameters, develops and compares rate cards. Regularly negotiates with partners for rates. Influences and provides tools for effective decision making but does not have SOW or contract signing authority.
Provides input to the development of resource staffing needs and forecasts for current and incoming projects.
Uses experience, sound judgment, application of general business principles to identify areas to drive continuous improvement and consistency across a geography.
Demonstrates initiative and focus to carry out assigned duties in a dynamic environment.. Achieves a high degree of familiarity with and knowledge of field/headquarters policies and procedures.
Assists in developing and communicating effective resource sharing processes within the geography to drive goal attainment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides proactive recommendation and independently identifies the type of technical and business resources needed, assembling teams that are qualified to perform the work and financially aligned with project budget and schedule plans. Tracks all current and incoming delivery resource requirements and works with Management to prioritize fulfillment. Identifies and assigns available resources based on needed expertise and customer dynamics to participate on pre and post-sales activities. Builds and maintains relationships with Senior Management to receive and provide timely information that is needed for handing resource requirements in an efficient manner. Works with Management to assign delivery resources to projects in assigned geography. Manages "bench time" for consultants in between engagements or during remaining available time. On a frequent basis, assigns resources to highly critical, very complex escalations on large sized accounts. Supports management team in achieivng utilization goal by fulfilling delivery project resource requirements while adhering to internal and partner utilization forecasts. Maintains a current information source of area/practice resource skillsets, availability, schedules, and delivery restrictions to assist in rapid identification and fulfillment of delivery resources. Erroneous decisions cause customer relationships to become jeopardized and may have serious impact on margin within the division/area or within major accounts. Incorrect assignment of resources causes the business to borrow and lend which has serious impact on margin and other operational metrics such as utilization and customer satisfaction. Partners with other Resource Managers to source and share additional delivery resources across for effective resource utilization. Collaborates in the development of processes and systems to track, identify, task and plan delivery resources for project work. May assist recruiters in pairing current staff with candidates for interviews or technical screens, identifying those with the appropriate skills and availability. May participate in interviews to ensure quality conversation, consistency of hires, selection rigor. Assists recruiter in building relationships with external vendors to help identify coming needs and trends in technology. Develops and manages the tactical and strategic resource plan for an offering or service line. Provides staffing and skillset forecast information to Management. Prepares, maintains and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures.
