The Senior Production Control Analyst is responsible for providing operator level support for Enterprise, CUBS, NSLDS, EDMS and other Production Control systems in support of ASA business needs. He/she is tasked with the timely and accurate completion of all shift related activities. This includes but is not limited to the daily monitoring and maintenance of ASA’s mission critical information systems, sub-systems and peripherals. The purpose of this position is to provide exceptional level of service to support an environment requiring 24x7x365 uptime. Required Skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS(e.g., in order to be considered to perform this position, the person must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities listed below): * Maintenance of Monitoring tools including actively monitoring servers & systems with limited supervision to ensure maximum systems uptime * Participates in the creation and maintenance of training module documentation applicable to shift * Provide cross-training for incoming shifts as necessary due to system changes or process changes * Work as a Team member to improve operational performance through conveyance and interaction with in-house tools and Request for Technical Assistance group * Provides guidance & training to junior level Production Control Analyst * Analyze problems to determine root cause or contribute to theory by utilizing data points; such as but not limited to, log analysis, software and hardware monitoring tools * Provide problem management support for both system and user requests * Good organization and communications skills. * Expert knowledge in Interpreting and communicating complex technical information to others as needed * Coordinates production outage notifications and shift resources including Incident Management notification. * Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a cross functional team to ensure consistent support of all operational tasks regardless of shift. * Assume Team Lead responsibilities in the absence of Shift Management. * Complete all scheduled shift tasks including but not limited to: - Completion of all shift functions as per Data Operations Checklist and Procedures - Test & production batches - NSLDS after hours processing if applicable - Accurate completion & processing of all Magic tickets. - Completion of all inbound & outbound email functions. - Completion of all inbound & outbound file processing. - Participation in shift turnover. - Participation in quality control best practices. - Monitoring of production backups as required. - Maintain & upkeep backup tape database & all offsite storage ADDITIADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Flexibility to work alternate shifts as needed to meet critical deadlines outside of normal business hours or participate in cross training opportunities * Willingness and ability to learn new technologies including participating in cross functional training on other shifts. * Ability to resolve conflicts quickly and effectively with minimal management support. * Document policy and procedures for Production Services and Support Team as needed including performing regularly scheduled reviews of current procedures. * Fosters a positive team environment which will ideally result in process improvements and 100% customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Associate degree in Computer Science and 1 year of senior operator experience or 3 plus years in a 7x24 mission critical data center with lead responsibilities. * Solid working knowledge of Windows NT and Windows 2000 Operating Systems * Solid working knowledge File Transmission protocols (FTP) * Ability to run SQL 2000/2005 Enterprise and Query analyzer * Fundamental understanding of the following: * XML, HTML, ASP/, and web services * System monitoring tools; such as Compaq insight manager, Mercury Software, Sitescan, Periscope, Doctor Watson, DotCom, Compuware etc.. * Utility writing/Scripting * Automated processes and tools(Tidal) * Technical writing skills * Familiarity with the following helpful but not necessary: * Remote connectivity products (VNC, Remote Admin, etc...) * Windows 2003R2 * VMware * Biztalk * Proficient in Microsoft standard office products including Visio * Solid ability to identify, analyze and solve problems * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to work independently and resolve issues with minimal supervision * Ability to lead junior level operational staff by applying positive mentoring and leadership skills * Expert knowledge in translating, interpreting, and communicating complex technical information to others * Ability to promote harmony and teamwork, inspires new employees to become leaders
