ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
The Sales Associate position is designed to provide the employee with training that will allow them to fully understand the Radio business from a sales perspective.
The early stages of this position will be focused on sales training, building relationships, working with the Traffic, Promotions and Programming departments in an effort to comprehend the totality of becoming an Account Executive. Duties to include but not limited to:
- Read and review Sales Training Manual
- Cold calling
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions
- Providing clerical assistance for the Account Executives and Sales Assistants
- Creating leads for Account Executives
- Working with Traffic, Promotions and Programming Departments on Sales related issues
- Attending client promotions and internal promotional meetings
- Learn avail tools such as Cash by Creative, XRAY, RAB, etc.
Middle to late stages of the Sales Associate position will consist of shadowing current Account Executives in order to learn the more intricate details of being a successful Account Executive. Duties to include but not limited to:
- Brainstorm ideas with sales team
- Prepare promotions plans, sales literature, and advertising proposals
- Attend sales calls
- Assist in the creation of proposals
- Work on specific deals and accounts with current Account Executives
- Learn quantitative and qualitative research
- Participate in Sales promotions
- Develop a weekly sales piece to present to the sales staff
