JOB TITLE:QA Engineer - Installation LOCATION:Waltham, MA
Position Responsibilities: You will join the team responsible for maintaining our demanding product quality standards. You will be responsible for interactive testing and reporting/verifying problems specializing in the installation area. Drawing upon your strong IT skills, you will work closely with the application development, product definition and technical support teams to help identify and resolve problems.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience: . 5 years industrial experience working with software development. . Proficiency with software deployment including MSI scripted install, XML, Active Directory, VMWare and network licensing. . BS degree Computer Science or similar technical discipline
The candidate should possess: . Some technical understanding of scripted software installation, including licensing, & configuration. . Above average communication & organizational skills as well as extreme accuracy and attention to detail. . Ability to quickly diagnose problems, analyze their cause and assess their scope and severity. . Proven industrial experience with a variety of different software packages. . Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. . Appreciation for aggressive goals, have superior organizational/time management skills and a make-it-happen attitude. . Also an advantage would be some programming background eg. C# or C++, SQL & SQL server load testing, webpage load testing. *
