The Program Manager will be responsible for: • Leading a cross-functional category team (Engineering , Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain and Merchandising), taking ownership for the successful delivery of new projects, from project inspection in the new product development phase through initial factory shipments to customer • Building and maintaining detailed project schedules and driving the team on execution to plan • Managing the flow of information and communication with Asian Team counterparts • Working with Merchandising/Sourcing team to generate accurate development schedules • Tracking and managing project costs to budget • Providing weekly project status reporting at the Executive level, highlighting milestones, variation to plan and potential risk • Leading weekly project team meetings • Coordinating requests for and flow of samples between Asia and US • Leading the review process of vendor prototypes and samples
Requirements:
Requirements include: • Bachelor’s Degree • 5+ years of experience in a related project management or product development role • Certification in Project Management from a recognized institution a plus • Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma Training • Consumer goods industry experience preferred • Prior management consulting experience a plus • Experience bringing a new product to market preferred • Experience in leading teams through transition and innovating new processes • Ability to effectively manage 6-10 concurrent projects under accelerated schedules • Excellent peer collaboration and team building skills • Strong business acumen and ability to command the respect of response of a peer and senior leadership group • Ability to travel 10% to Asia (if needed) • Excellent written and verbal communication • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook • Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
