JOB DESCRIPTION - PRODUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Summary
Under the general supervision of the Production Support manager, monitor daily production schedules as well as the production situation conference hotline for issues raised. Invoke incident management process when production incidents arise and assist in coordinating production incidents until resolution. Document steps from initial identification of issue through to resolution and root cause and actions via ticketing systems. Monitor capacity of operating systems via graphs of key performance indicators and coordinate non-standard production planning (e.g. holidays).
Description, Key Tasks and Areas of Responsibility:
Monitor product job schedules and production conference call for production anomalies. Escalate and assist in coordinating the resolution of any production issues, using documented procedures and process.
Use internal ticketing tools to document details and corrective action steps for production incidents as they occur. Provide updates every 10 minutes until incident is resolved and service is fully restored to clients.
Follow up on incidents by gathering information from subject matter experts, providing a summary of the incident details, impact, root cause and follow-up corrective actions.
Create summary reports of production incidents and status.
Monitor and report on operating systems' capacity and performance using key performance indicators.
Coordinate holiday production planning, documentation and follow-up.
Lead and/or participate in problem management and smaller production improvement projects.
Required Experience:
Requirements: Bachelor's degree

Some technical background, such as previous experience in an IT environment, and knowledge of the financial services industry would be helpful.
