Outside Sales Representative
The Getaway Boutique has been a player in the getaway package industry since 1997 and is the number one seller of leisure and tourism packages in Canada with over 500 member establishments. The Company sells over 100 000 restaurant, lodging, relaxation and activity packages every year in our retail stores and on our website. The Getaway boutique is expanding and will soon operate in Massachusetts. The Company is urgently looking for three dynamic sales representatives that will recruit member establishments for leisure and tourism packages. The Company will offer a good variety of packages from various establishments including restaurants, hotels, resorts, inns, tours, cruises, wellness centres, outdoor and special activities. Those packages will be available on our website and in our future retail stores that will be located in the greater Boston area. A successful candidate will build direct relationships with potential member establishments, help build appealing getaway packages, negotiate reselling contracts and maintain a successful business relationship with the establishments. The candidate will report to the General Manager. The candidates must own a car and will be asked to solicit the best establishments; some being located up to 4 hours from the greater Boston area. Many establishments will be located in Massachusetts but some may be situated in Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Travel and lodging allowances will be provided. The compensation package is between $55,000 and $75,000 OTE. Expense reimbursement will be added on top of OTE.
Skill Set: Proven communication skills, influencing abilities and client management experience Dynamic personality Proven experience in the leisure and tourism industry will be considered as a plus Good knowledge of the territory to be covered Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling and time management Ability to negotiate terms of contracts Ability to maintain good business relationships with existing clients Ability to report on sales activities. Ability to travel
Experience Requirements: 3+ years of experience in sales Experience in tourism or hospitality will be considered as an advantage Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as will be considered as an advantage.
