Description
Marketing Coordinator- Temp Position Expected hours are 9-5pm; 3-5 days per week. Ideal start Mid November and runs thru January 2012. End date could be longer depending on business needs This position supports the Course Technology PTR Marketing team by maintaining executing marketing projects, developing exceptional copy to be used on products and in marketing pieces, and tracking key processes to deliver products to marketing effectively. Developing sales and administrative support materials; understanding and working with sales and marketing systems; and serving as a communication liaison with customers, strategic partners, sales and authors will also be part of this role.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: . · Coordinate and tracks all Product Marketing Information (PMI) for all products. Work with editors, copyrighters and MSA to create all PMIs and get them entered into systems. Track start and complete dates to ensure timely entry of data. Work with MSA on all updates and changes into ORCA.
· Writes, edits, and designs marketing materials as needed by the marketing manager(s) for select titles and or topics. This includes catalogs, brochures, ads, banner ads sales manual pages, sales tools, Internet pages. * Manage and track cover design process. This includes writing back cover copy, communicating art direction from marketing /editorial and to designer, routing drafts and securing approvals by deadlines
· Assists with various market research projects by preparing, analyzing, and summarizing market surveys.
· Perform other duties such as email marketing, preparing for customer events and trade shows, sample requests, sales and customer inquiries as necessary to ensure achievement of team goals.
· QUALIFICATIONS: · BA/BS degree required. · Proficient with computers and application software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentations software is required. · Sales, marketing, or equivalent experience desirable. · Design skills (i.e. experience in creating marketing collateral) desirable. · Social media Experience desirable (identifying content, following and posting). · Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong organizational, time, and project management skills, with an ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Proven team player able to work in a fast paced environment. · Must be willing to work flexible hours.
