Management Consultant - Fidelity Business Consulting
Title: Management Consultant - Fidelity Business Consulting Location: MA-Boston Fidelity Business Consulting (FBC) is a 75 person consulting group within Fidelity Investments. The group's mission is to partner with senior Fidelity leadership teams (e.g. Office of the Chairman, Management Committee, Business Unit Presidents) as a trusted advisor to solve their most critical business issues. The primary areas of focus for the consulting practice are strategy development and operational improvement. Typical engagements involve identifying and launching growth initiatives, managing or facilitating cross-enterprise initiatives, or addressing difficult operational issues. In addition to its core mission of providing consulting services, FBC develops strong leadership talent to fill critical management positions across the firm.
Primary Responsibilities
The Management Consultant works as an integral member of a 2-5 person project team. Responsibilities include: * Day-to-day management of the tasks related to individual work streams * Directing and executing various analyses, including market analysis, internal capability assessment, competitor intelligence, customer research, product assessment, and financial analysis/modeling * Conducting secondary research to understand industry trends, competitors, customers, regulatory changes, or technology changes * Developing insights and conclusions from analysis and research * Interacting with Fidelity personnel at various levels, including senior executives, to gather data and build consensus * Preparing presentations and assisting in presentations to senior executives * Working closely with business unit personnel to implement recommendations * Developing knowledge and skills necessary to assume additional responsibilities within FBC or other parts of Fidelity Note: Please provide a cover letter in addition to your resume.
Education and Experience * The majority of candidates come from a strategy consulting or operations background; however, we will consider applicants from other backgrounds * Applicants must have exceptional analytical, communication, project management and problem-solving capabilities along with superior leadership skills * Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams is a must * Prerequisites also include demonstrated interest or experience in the financial services industry and an MBA degree or equivalent Skills and Knowledge
