The maternity suite and Level I nursery at the Cambridge Campus was expanded in 2005, allowing us to provide top care for expecting families. We can now better provide premier labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care through our skilled staff and the 24-hour MGH Anesthesia Service. Working together, we ensure the highest quality of care for both mother and baby. Each of our spacious LDR (Labor, delivery, recovery) rooms are now equipped with a Jacuzzi, TV and VCR. Most of the rooms have spectacular views of Boston. We currently have a LDRP Surgical Tech position available.
In this role, you will maintain medical records, enter requisitions, transcribe physicians orders, carries out designated clerical responsibilities around admissions, discharges, transfers specified unit logs as designated by charge nurse, act as a messenger/transporter as needed, order supplies. Helps keep unit clean and orderly, general patient care duties working under the supervision of an RN - scrub technician for c-sections. Must be Dependable, able to function in a busy atmosphere, have great organizational skills, communicates effectively, accuracy and legible Handwriting. Current or recent experience in acute care setting. Sufficient mobility to negotiate physical plant. Strength and endurance to perform physically for long periods of time. Must be a graduate of a Surgical Tech program and a minimum of 1 year experience as a Surgical Technician.
