SilkRoad is seeking a self-motivatedImplementation Specialistin theWinston-Salemarea to work as a member of the client services team and perform various implementation duties that may include:
* Application design and development with a focus on web technologies, databases, and user interface principles and techniques;
* Creation of client web portals using standard web technologies (e.g. HTML, Advanced JavaScript (DHTML), CSS);
* Extensive use of javascript in form validation;
* Writing, testing, utilization and optimization of advanced SQL scripts and stored procedures and SQL reporting services;
* Writing, testing, optimizing and utilization of complex Microsoft SQL DTS and SSIS procedures, especially in relation to data transformation from legacy systems;
* Writing and testing of SOAP-based web service processes with a heavy concentration on XML, and XSLT transforms;
* Simple and advanced scripting using;
* Documenting developed material;
* Developing reliable and optimized code and procedures in an efficient and well documented manner;
* Interacting with internal and external clients and acting as a technical advisor on matters related to reporting services, data transformation, integration, and other areas as deemed necessary;
* Planning and leading multiple software implementation projects concurrently;
* Participating in development activities including testing (verification/validation), implementation, and quality assurance;
* Demonstrating logical and mechanical reasoning in a customer-centric environment;
* Analyzing and resolving code issues;
* Translating functional requirements into software configuration with minimal guidance.
Required Skills
* Extremely organized with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize;
* Ability to work effectively either alone, with general guidance, or in a team environment to deliver assignments on time;
* Effective verbal and written communications skills;
* Experience working with customers on a technical level;
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
* Experience with code maintenance and version control;
* Extensive experience with standard web technologies (e.g. HTML, Advanced JavaScript (DHTML), CSS);
* A well-rounded knowledge of relational database design. Experience in creating and executing stored procedures/queries against relational databases, primarily SQL Server;
* Experience with three or more of the following technologies: Web Services, SOAP, Java/JSP, ASP/VBScript, C#/.Net, XML/XSLT, LDAP, XHTML, ECMA scripting, Regular Expressions, MS SQL DTS, MS SQL SSIS, Network Directory Services (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP), Adobe ColdFusion.
Preferred skills:
* Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional, especially form creation;
* Experience with globalization, localization and internationalization of web applications;
* Experience managing full life cycle system development activities (requirements definition, design, development, testing: verification/validation), implementation, and quality assurance);
* Experience with one or more HRMS systems (Peoplesoft, SAP, Lawson, etc.);
* Familiarity with SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services;
* Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services.
Required Experience
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in software implementation.
