Responsibilities
The Partnership Product Manager manages an unsecured loan product line. The incumbent has primary product, profitability, & strategic planning responsibility for our newly created loan product partnerships. This is a unique role combining a product management executive role with an affinity marketing relationship manager role. This business line is in its infancy and will require start-up effort to create profitable growth. With the customer experience design being critical, this role will have a strong focus on customer process design and distribution strategy and simplicity. This executive will build & manage the Partnership unsecured product, P&L ownership, set pricing, manage product portfolios, manage risk, and manage the operational soundness of the product. This executive will also have primary relationship management responsibility with key executives inside of our strategic partners. The role will drive significant cross sell growth for TruFit Student loans from the Partner customer base and substantially increase profitability across the student customer base. The candidate will have close partnership responsibilities with Retail Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Treasury, Technology, and Servicing. This role will have a significant executive interaction requirement.
This new business will be responsible for over $10mm in pretax earnings over 4 years, managing over 200,000 customer applications per year, booking over $100mm in annual volume, and managing a loan portfolio growing to over $500mm.
A successful candidate will have a proven track record for starting up product lines from inception and profitability growing them.
A results driven banking executive with broad experience in the financial services industry including retail banking, consumer credit, and affinity marketing. Must be adept at all aspects of the product management discipline. A strong change agent and independent self-starter with demonstrated ability to build teams and focus on the customer experience.
Progressive leadership positions marked by entrepreneurial endeavours and a strong track record of innovating, developing, managing and creatively marketing new product opportunities and enhancements to existing products to profitably extend the company's brand and grow its market position.
Manage all products that fall under the Partnership relationship, P&L, and Strategic Plan. This is a significant leadership role inside Consumer Banking.
Design and develop new and innovative products that create new growth and profitable cross-sell.
Create a streamlined proposition to create customer experience simplicity and effectiveness in all sales channels.
Work with internal partners to profitably coordinate sales and marketing campaigns to promote the Apple relationship and services. These groups include Marketing, Retail Banking division, Business Development and Analytics, Business Services, and other key CFG lines of business.
Manage attrition
Stimulate profitable cross sell
Improve business processes/rules to ensure mitigation of risk, enhance the customer experience and identify revenue / expense improvement opportunities. Establish effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled, and compliance requirements are adhered to on an ongoing basis.
Produce and present regular and structures and ad hoc management reporting and analysis
Maintain an awareness of new trends and development within the competitive marketplace including regulatory changes, pricing, acquisition offers, and new products/program introductions.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Banking, Marketing Masters Degree preferred Comprehensive understanding of product development and marketing in a financial/banking environment, and the ability to execute in an effective and expeditious manner. Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving and Decision Making Strong Financial Acumen Creativity/Innovation Excellent oral/written communication with ability to effectively communicate with peers, internal partners, external partners and executive management. Ability to design and author effective executive level communications Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build collaborative relationships with internal partners including IT, sales, product managers, retail delivery and marketing. Ability to galvanize and lead others Demonstrated understanding of and devotion to customer service and experience. History of successfully driving multiple co-occurring tasks to completion.
