The Implementation Consultant Team Leader will supervise a software team and ensure (and participate in) the successful implementation of all types of projects (from routine to complex and unique) of Mercer's proprietary human resources software with clients. To fulfill this role, the Team Leader will: * Lead any size project team to implement Mercer's proprietary human resources software by overseeing all activities and staff related to implementation including serving as the responsible person for all internal project and client questions for the team; developing new analysis and system enhancement solutions; partnering with other teams (Software Account Managers, Solutions Delivery, Software Sales) to provide technical support, expertise, and outline best practices. * Supervise two or more implementation consultants and/or analysts as direct reports, typically up to 10 employees. Has full authority for people management including assigning, directing and evaluating work; hiring, disciplining and firing employees; conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions; approving salary and bonus actions; ensuring appropriate orientation and on-going education/training. * Interface with clients and Mercer staff to clarify high impact, complex, and unique business software requirements, project plans and system design to meet the client needs; clarify and resolve unique and difficult issues related to client deliverables (will not escalate issues); anticipate the client's needs and incorporate them into project planning to stay one step ahead. * Lead initiatives to improve processes, promote standardization, identify product design changes to fix common problems; and regularly recommend product and process enhancement ideas to the proper resources. * Develop pricing models and manage budgets for clients regarding size and scope of work and ensure consistent pricing approach is executed. * BA degree in business, IT, MIS or related field of study * 10 years of related experience including 3-5 years of supervisory experience * Proven consultative and project management skills * Strong leadership skills * Strong oral and written communication skills * Excellent client-focus or customer service skills * Excellent organization and time management skills * Ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver on time and on budget * Proven database, analytical and technical skills * Strong command of Excel and Access * Ability to work well in team environment is critical * Compensation or prior HR software experience is required Marsh & McLennan Companies offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits and programs including: health and welfare, tuition assistance, pension and 401K, employee assistance program, domestic partnership benefits, career mobility, employee network groups, volunteer opportunities, and other programs.
