Corporate Accounting Manager
In this role, you will have the following activities, duties, and functions: * Provide supervision and management of the USA AP, AR, and GL processes* Manage the monthly close process including the generation of all financial statements * Identify opportunities to continuously improve the relevance and effectiveness of financial processes and systems * Contribute to the staffing and professional development of the USA accounting team including training, coaching, and evaluation * Work closely with financial auditors to successfully achieve audited financial statements with minimal audit adjustments * Maintain the corporate accounting policies, practices and procedures * Establish and maintain corporate financial controls * Effectively represent the company and work with other functional disciplines within the businessSpecific Qualifications (required unless noted otherwise): * Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills * Be comfortable driving change and using organizational skills to create a greater sense of order in Accounting department * Be disciplined and process-oriented with a high level of enthusiasm, professionalism, integrity and maturity* BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or comparable degree* CPA preferred but not required* 10+ years of experience in a multi-national company, preferably in the pharma, biotech manufacturing or medical device space* Experience at a publicly-traded company also preferred but not required* 5+ years of supervisory/management experience * Highly organized and capable of contributing to both day-to-day transactional processes and the generation and analysis of financial statements * Current knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and internal financial processes and controls* Experience dealing with and managing efforts of internal/external auditors * SOX experience
