Business System Analyst
You will participate in the support, development, and maintenance of the Company's business systems while serving as the main liaison between business users and development staff to ensure that all requirements are met on schedule.
You will become the primary technical support for the Company’s MRP/ERP system and will work with vendor Technical Support on bug/issue resolution.
You will meet with subject matter experts to identify and document all current/future system requirements.
You will be responsible for translating information from end users into system requirement documents that IT developers will use to build applications.
You will collaborate with members of the IT department to develop project documentation and UI design to ensure the documentation is complete and development estimates are accurate.
You will define future business processes around available MRP/ERP modules and train end users in best practices usage of applications.
You will be responsible developing reports for all business functions and departments using applicable software tools.
7+ years of experience in business analysis and requirements definition for IT systems
5+ years hands-on experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
Proven ability to quickly assimilate new technology and/or applications required
Ability to communicate business requirement changes to the business users
Ability to develop training material and application documentation as required
Proven ability to educate business systems users in more efficient workflow or use of technology
Ability to create ad-hoc reports using MS Office products, Crystal Reports, or SYSPRO report writer
CS/CE Degree or equivalent
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and technical decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience (a big plus)
Hands-on experience with SYSPRO
Expert level knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word) and Crystal Reports
Knowledge of RDBMS, database design and performing data extractions, conversions and manipulations. Worked with at least one of the following: Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
Experience developing applications in a Manufacturing/Distribution environment.
