Position Summary: The Business Analytics Project Manager is responsible for leading and facilitating the delivery of financial information to key business leaders within BCBSMA. The Project Manager will closely partner with Market Segment and Operating Model leaders and teams to provide financial consultant services, bring a broad financial perspective on issues, and help deliver the metrics and reporting to drive enterprise-wide initiatives. This position will serve as the primary contact for the Finance division and support the growth and development of BCBSMA's customer-focused business approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cultivate strong working relationships with segment teams as an active participant and contributor
* Collaborate with segment teams on the identification and development of measures of success for each segment. Provide guidance to segment teams on potential measures
* Monitor segment metrics and document results; provide segment teams with analytic guidance on metrics
* Serve as primary measurement expert for the Segment
* Monthly production of Executive Operating Report
* Quarterly production of dashboard (includes membership information, revenue, claims, medical loss ratio, and direct expenses and key leading indicators / measures of success for each market segment)
* Regular production of dashboard for initiatives undertaken by Segment/Operating model leaders (includes monitoring and measurement of ROI) Experience and Education:
* Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
* Minimum seven years project management experience, prior enterprise-wide project accountability preferred. Knowledge of managed care and health care delivery system is preferred. Experience as an internal or external Consultant preferred
* Technical understanding of financial principles and practices
* Highly develop analytic capability with the ability to communicate analytics to all audiences
* Ability to understand/interpret a situation from the point of view of a business unit
* Foster cross-fu8nctional teamwork and collaboration
* Ability to promote trust with the business area and Finance colleagues
* Advocate for the financial perspective in decision-making
* Operate as a change agent and advocate for change
* Ability to implement solutions and establish on-going customer relations
* Ability to successfully interact at all organizational levels, build and maintain relationships, and influence effectively
* Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to create and deliver presentations with impact
