Caliper Life Sciences is seeking an energetic, outgoing person with a strong scientific background. Our Sales Reps are responsible for direct sales of companys products and/or services to ensure the achievement of corporate sales objectives by calling prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices. This position is also responsible for new account development and growth of existing accounts within an established territory.
Key initiatives to include but not limited to: Controls, organizes and directs sales activities through both strategic and tactical activities within responsible territory. Responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of Action Sales Plan. Generate and maintain a credible forecast for accounts and territories and provide this information on a regular basis to Senior Management. Be able to personally conduct a basic product demonstration (hardware and software). Establish an exceptionally strong knowledge of all aspects of Companys product offering and business practices and that of its competition. Responsible for actively prospecting new customers within the territory. Conduct lead generation and qualification activities to develop opportunity pipeline. Maintain all customer activity in Salesforce.com. Sets and manages customer expectations throughout the life of projects and ongoing through our relationship with the customer. Requirements:
Education Requirement: Advanced degree in life sciences, with preference for strong molecular biology background
Experience/Skill Requirement: 2-5 years experience, ideally with the life sciences technologies marketplace, particularly with instruments, reagents, and solutions that focus on the pre-clinical drug discovery space.
